Anyone that has ever walked on a dock has a memory of tripping on a cleat sticking up from the deck. We have customers that have even broken toes (no names to protect the innocent). We now offer a fold down “CLEAT SEAT,” which, when not in use, can be folded into a tapered receptacle out of the way. You may not want this option on all dockable sides of the dock, but you should definitely consider these fold-down cleats on the outside of the wide swim deck(s), especially when you’ve got youngsters (of any age) that want to run and dive off the side of the dock. These cleat seats require four bolts which are reinforced beneath the deck.
