Our docks are built in modular sections and can be transported up to 14’ wide (double-sized swim platforms 16’-24’, where permitted, must be transported in two sections and joined at the lake). Whether installed by a Superior dock crew, or a trained, authorized Dealer crew, all sections are strapped to trailers, taken to a boat landing near your lot and launched like a boat. The frame sections are first aligned and welded together, then the roof is assembled, the walkway attached, and the whole dock is pushed to your lot. The walkway is mounted to the ground and cables are fastened to steel and concrete anchors buried in the ground. The deck is then washed to remove any dirt picked up during the installation (you should wait at least 48 hours after installation for the deck to dry before applying Messmers Penetrating Oil). Boat lifts and PWC lifts will be bolted to the frame at a later date since the watercraft must be present to adjust the cradles.
